In this unprecedented moment in history, the BIG BLUE organization aspires to serve as a microcosm of what is possible for our society as a whole. By looking through this lends, our team will embody this year’s slogan, "One BLUE." Football provides an environment that fosters the very traits necessary to succeed in every walk of life. It takes communication, commitment, strategic planning and hard work to achieve goals. 

The IBM culture takes pride in finding “solutions that matter” even in the most challenging situations. The BIG BLUE organization is an extension of the IBM team that embraces the same philosophical values and spirit. Our team has been creative and steadfast utilizing remote collaboration in endeavor to realize our goals in the age of social distancing. IBM puts a high value on corporate responsibility, and our team reflects this by understanding our duty to take care of our players and community. Therefore, our team is following government, league, company guidance, as well as putting our own set of procedures in place. BIG BLUE has demonstrated resiliency to overcome obstacles on the path to achieve a successful 2020 season and many more to come. 

BIG BLUE is more than just a football team. BIG BLUE is comprised of dedicated, talented individuals who come together as family members, employees, teachers, influencers, leaders and ultimately an integral part of the greater community. 歴史的にも前例がないようなこの難しい状況において、BIG BLUEは今社会に求められている事柄を可能な限りチームに取り込み実践していくことを目指します。そのような視点からも、新しいスローガンである「One BLUE」を具現化していく事が重要だと考えています。それは、アメリカンフットボールには、社会において成功するために必要な様々な特性を育む要素、例えばコミュニケーション能力、コミットメント、戦略的計画、そして目標を達成するための飽くなき努力といったものが備わっているからです。 

IBMカルチャーでは、どんなに困難な状況においても「最適な解決策」を見つける事を重視します。 BIG BLUEもIBMの一員として、同じ価値観や精神を共有しています。ソーシャルディスタンスが求められる現在の状況の中で、私たち自身の目標を実現するためにリモートコラボレーションを活用して、創造的かつ着実に取り組んでいます。企業にとって社会的責任を果たしていく事が重要であるように、BIG BLUEにとっては選手やスタッフ、またコミュニティの安全を守る大きな責任があります。ですから、私たちのチームでは、政府やXリーグ、会社からのガイドラインを遵守する事に加えて、チームの状況を考慮した独自のプロセスを策定し実行しています。2020年シーズンに向けて、多くの障害や困難が立ちはだかっていますが、これまでの取り組みで私たちにはそれらを克服する力がある事は明らかですし、さらに多くの成功を達成出来ると信じています。

BIG BLUEは単なるアメリカンフットボールのチームにとどまりません。BIG BLUEは、メンバー全員が献身的で才能溢れる社会人であり家族のような存在です。それぞれのメンバーは会社の従業員、教育者、インフルエンサーなど様々な職種の中でリーダーとして活躍し、社会の一員として重要な役割を果たしています。BIG BLUE Familyの一員として、このチームを率いることを誇りに思います。チームをご支援頂いているスポンサー企業の皆さま、熱心なファンの皆さま、そして選手を献身的にサポート頂いているご家族の皆さまに感謝するとともに、皆様と一丸となってこの困難な状況に打ち勝って成功を掴み取ります。
