IBM BigBlue TE#40 ジョン スタントン

BigBlueに関わる全ての皆さまへ

先ず最初に、BigBlueファンの皆さま、OB/OGの皆さま、そして今シーズンの躍進を支えていただいたサポーターの皆さまへ御礼を申し上げます。我々選手、コーチ、そしてスタッフ全員が、今シーズンを通して多くのご支援をいただき、それらのご支援無くしてはここまでの躍進は成し得ませんでした。あらためてこれまでのご支援に感謝すると共に、是非ジャパンXボウルにお越し頂き、我々の試合へ熱いご声援を頂けますようにお願いいたします。

今シーズンは私にとってIBM BigBlueでの3年目のシーズンであり、チームキャプテンとして初めてのシーズンです。今シーズン私達は、より強くまとまりのあるチームを作るために様々な事を試みてきました。ここまで、良い時もありましたし、悪い時もありました。しかし、私達は家族のように一つになって試合に臨み、ここまで到達することが出来ました。家族はお互いに支え合い、必要な事に対しては我が身を省みません。この精神を、12月15日月曜日に東京ドームで開催される富士通との試合でお見せします。我々自身は勿論、チームを支えて頂いてる皆さまのために戦い、チーム史上初となるXリーグチャンピオンを勝ち取ります。

今シーズン、このオフェンスメンバーの一人であることは大きな誇りです。日々成長を続けてきたオフェンスチームにより、テンポ良く展開されるオフェンスプレーは、必ず皆さまを興奮させるものと確信しています。オフェンスのプレーはQBとコーチが決めますが、いつでも得点をし試合の流れを変える能力を持つ多くの選手がそのプレーを実行します。個人プレーは必要ありません。お互いの強みを共有し、互いに励まし合い、相手を凌駕します。

12月15日には、手強い富士通ディフェンスに立ち向かうBigBlueオフェンスにご注目ください。相手の弱点を見つけ出し、そこに素早く確実に攻め込みます。相手の限界まで攻撃を続け、相手の守備を打ち破ります。持てる力の全てを振り絞り、勝利を勝ち取ります。

私達は、IBM BigBlueフットボールの伝統を受け継ぐことを誇りに思います。これまでの皆さまからのご支援に感謝いたします。

IBM BigBlue TE#40 John Stanton

To all members of the Big Blue family,
I want to first thank all the Big Blue fans, alumni, and supporters who have helped make this season so special. We as players, coaches, and staff have benefitted so much from your strong support all season long and our success would not be possible without you. Thank you so much and please come to enjoy the X-Bowl and cheer and loud as you can!

This is my third year playing for the IBM Big Blue and first year as the team Captain. This year we’ve focused a lot on creating a strong team bond or brotherhood. We’ve experienced both good times and bad this year, but because we play as a family we have been able to find success. A family supports each other and sacrifices for the good of one another, no matter what. We will use this approach when we battle Fujitsu this coming Monday, December 15th at the Tokyo Dome. We are fighting for the IBM family and we plan to win the Championship for the first time in team history.

It’s been an honor to be a member of this offense this season. We play in a dynamic offensive system that evolves each week and we play at a fast tempo that is exciting for the fans. We are led by our quarterback and coach, but we have so many talented players who can score or change the game at any moment. Also, there is no selfishness on this team. We share in each other’s success and encourage each other to excel. 

On December 15th, look for the Big Blue offense to challenge a very strong Fujitsu defense. We’ll find the enemy’s weak spot and attack it with speed and athletic play. We will attack our opponent’s conditioning level and push them to their breaking limit. We will use every ounce of effort on the field to win this game. 

We are proud to carry on the tradition of IBM Big Blue football. Thank you to everyone for your continued support.
